Frederick A. Tucker, Chairman
Frederick A. Tucker is the Chairman of Biddle Insurance Services, Inc. From 1980 to 1990, Mr. Tucker served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the company. From 1968 to 1980, Mr. Tucker worked for Biddle Bishop & Smith, now known as Biddle & Company. During this period, Biddle acquired through purchase several well-known insurance agencies fueling part of the company’s 400% growth rate.
Mr. Tucker holds a B.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania. Following graduation, he served in the United States Navy. After active duty, Mr. Tucker entered the Trust Department of the Philadelphia National Bank leading to work with the American Insurance Co. of Newark, NJ.
Community service is vital to Mr. Tucker. He is a board member of the Lincoln Day Educational Center (30 yrs.); the Academy of Vocal Arts (10 yrs.); and the Garfield Duncan Research Foundation (20+ yrs.). He has taught college level insurance and has written and spoken regarding health insurance.
Mr. Tucker and his wife have three children and two grandchildren. They reside in Bryn Mawr.
Kate Flanagan, President
Kate Flanagan is the company’s first female president and its fourth in history. She comes to the position with more than 20 years in the insurance industry and her own history of creating new workflow and processes that enhance customer service and reduce case implementation. Before her role as president, Ms. Flanagan was the Senior Vice President at Biddle Insurance Services.
Prior to Biddle, Ms. Flanagan held executive posts at Guardian Life Insurance Company and CIGNA Group Insurance. She holds a B.S. in Business Management from St. Joseph’s University.
Ms. Flanagan resides in Broomall with her husband and three children.
